The objectives of the Society are:

1. To advance the science and art of cardiology in Somalia, and to achieve international standards of best practice for cardiology in Somalia.
2. To promote exchange of scientific knowledge among cardiology professionals.
3. To hold periodical meetings, conferences and social gatherings
4. To encourage, support and carry out research in cardiology and to award research scholarships.
5. To improve awareness about cardiovascular disease among the general public in Somalia.
6. To work effectively with other local medical organizations.
7. To promote development and monitoring of guidelines for diagnosis and management of cardiac diseases in Somalia.
8. To foster relationships and links with other international and regional societies of cardiology, specifically to link with the AFRICAN societies of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, American Heart Association etc.
9. To do all such other things as may be found necessary or proper for the achievement of the above objectives or any of them.
